What's the proper name for these clips?

Post by FORDification »

In this picture the top one is for mounting the fender, the lower one is for the interior door panels. WTH is the proper name for these? I've been calling them J-clips, but that's just not right.

J-nuts is the only thing I've ever seen them called, but I can't say that's correct either.

I've always called them speed nuts, pal nuts or tinnerman nuts but those are all registered trade names. :dk:

my vote is speed nuts
