From what I've heard, I wouldn't put one in a truck, at least not an older full size truck. They are not that stout of a tranny, and the weight alone of these trucks will wear them out quickly.
just my as I don't have first hand experience with them.

I must agree. The stock T-5's arent very good. It tokk only a matter of weeks to tear 5th gear outta mine after I installed the 351w in my mustang. Yes 5th not 2nd or 3rd. Freakin unreal.
If you want a 5speed you need a Tremec or something beefy like that.
