Axle Code

Post by wildcard »

This is what my tag from my rear axle looks like. All I could decipher is that it's a 9 in WDM-U OJE
3 . 70 8 . 7 302A

Thanks fordman. Doesn't that mean it's better suited for pulling than open highway? I drive right at 100 miles per day round trip just to work and back. Would that be hard on that rearend? (Thanks for moving this to the right section. I realized my mistake after it was too late)

Right, that's good for pulling, not so hot for fuel milage.
If you never pull anything you might get away with 3.00, otherwise a 3.25 or 3:55 might be the way for you to go.
