I completed my overhaul including synchros on my NP435 4 speed out of my 70....I found that the synchros for 3/4 that came with the kit to be a bit clumsy, the collar didn't fit over the dammit (can't remember the real name or term) retaining the synchro itself very well....long story short it would not allow for proper clearance of the shafts and would result in binding and then locking up of the rotation....using the new syncho gears in the old collars rectified this, and all seems right with the world.....I got the kit from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard, not faulting them, but the parts are stamped "Made in India" so I expect lower quality from such....
Hope this may help someone out...Pics to follow

I am not sure about lovely, but that is the one....I cut the 6 black rivets or extensions (they aren't bolts) and pulled out the synchro, I used the old collar and metal caps from the old parts, coupling them with the new synchro and replacement sliding gear... now it shifts and rotates as it should but as I am a ways from running until my resto is done, I really won't know if its the answer or not, I think it is, but being sure is nice!

I had to buy a new one. Mine was toast, was some off brand re-pop an it didnt mess/slide right as it should. New old stock in its place now, should be tons better.
