I'm looking at the same swap here's what I've learned.
C/4 from small bock bolts right in but there weaker than c/6 .
A c/6 will also bolt up but it takes a taller trans hump ( it can be done without hump but a p.i.t.a .
The c/6 and c/4 have same top gear ratio as you're 3 speed.
Oh ya each transmission has different length drive lines.

So other than not having to shift what would be a benefit of the swap if the top gear is the same

In my opinion there isn't much difference . You can install a over drive transmission aod from early 80's up but I've heard they don't handle excessive hp or heavy towing.

No ideals on the stiff clutch after 2 yrs driving mine I don't notice it.
I did forget a transmission . There was a 3 speed with overdrive . I don't know much about them . They weren't very popular but where a option in are trucks . From what I remember reading they were strange to drive . They look like are normal 3 speed but with a can shaped sylinold . There kinda rare and sought after these days .
