My buddy had an interesting idea yesterday. I've been contemplating swapping a stick into one a my trucks and said something about a hand clutch, he said he'd seen one where they ran a pull a cable up over the door frame kind of like a semi truck air horn pull cord.
I kind of like the idea but I'm not so sure about the practicality. I was curious if anyone's ever done or seen this?
Thoughts/opinions?

Re: Odd hand clutch
SO, you have one hand working the clutch, the other on the shifter and none on the wheel?

Pretty much. Ha91Bear wrote:SO, you have one hand working the clutch, the other on the shifter and none on the wheel?
Like I said. Interesting idea but not practical. I was just wondering if anyone's actually seen someone do it. I'd like to see someone try to drive it honestly.
I also wasn't saying I was considering doing it. I'm going to set up a scuicide style shifter.

No problem today, I saw a woman driving, texting and eating out of a bowl of cereal in her lap. They need to make a steering wheel with knee grooves for better grip.

I guess you could call that a "suicide style" clutch...1993F250 wrote:Pretty much. Ha91Bear wrote:SO, you have one hand working the clutch, the other on the shifter and none on the wheel?
