75 combination valve to replace 71 valves

Post by shuayjye »

So couldnt get everything in the title but here is an problem.
My truck had locking front disc so I went through the long process of removing my hard lines to figure out what was wrong and it looks like my metering valve is bad preventing fluid from going back into the master cyclinder.
I am guessing this is the problem as the o-ring at the bottom (or top depending on perspective) has swollen and does not fit. As I do not believe I can just find this o-ring (and i some how miss placed the cap) and new metering valves are pricy I plan on getting a new combination valve http://www.carolinaclassictrucks.com/Fo ... valve.html and have a few questions.

-Do i have to get replacement front hard lines for a 73+ or can I repurpose my original hard line (by getting an adapter to connect the old lines together)
-how would I wire my original two wire sensor into the new one wire one
-I will need to get a new bracket as the original bracket wouldnt work, ideas

Lastly maybe it will be best to just loan the tools to make the lines myself but I am hoping someone out there has done this... There arent a lot of junk yards around here anymore.
