Was wondering if any bodyu knew the in inches depth of their trans pans?
I kneed from lip to just where it curves near the bottom. From a 4x4 and a 4x2 please.

Why do you ask? Their all about the same, stock pans. I've built a lot
of C6's.

i was impressioned that the 4x4 and 4x2 were different in deepness.

The 4x4's are deeper hence the reason for having a deeper crossmember that cradles the C6 on a 4x4. Both my 77 and the 70 both have c6's and the 70 I had to find a 4x4 pan for it and ditch the 2wd.

Good pic. Most of the truck's of our vintage that I've seen came with
the Cruise-O-Matic. A pretty good tranny. The C6 was in the 460 models
that were later. I never saw one of those pan's before. Thank's for the
info.

see i wanted to find this out as i promised fordfool a 4x4 pan. as i had a pretty shallow pan on mine when i bought it and it had some warpage going on i grabbed a deeper pan but it looks too shallow for a 4x4.so now to go grab a 4x4 pan frome somewhere.
