Type F is supposed to be a little grabbier than your standard Dex3.
I run Dex3 in anything that doesn't require synthetic and have never had an issue doing that. I've had some crappy old Ford autos and putting dex3 in made them worse, but if they worked on F they don't seem to care about Dex3.
For that matter you can Buy 5 gallons of ISO46 tractor hydraulic fluid for about $40 and get the same results too.
Standard trans shop practice seems to be fill everything with dex3 after rebuild.

from my experience dexron will wreck the seals and wash the clutch material out in a type f transmission , type f is slightly thicker and isn't loaded with detergents like the dexron is. if you fill a dexron trans with type f it will shift abit harder but other than that there won't be any issues
