I'm not very knowledgeable on the differences of different transmissions but as far as I know you can use the FE Z bar on a 460 swap. You will need a bracket with the plastic pivot point that bolts to the bell housing as a 460/429 does not have the mounting holes for one. I'm still stockpiling parts for my 429 swap so I can't comment on how well any particular parts work but I did get a bracket for this from L&L that looks promising. Mine was a 435 trans though and I don't know if the Z bar is the same as yours.
