I found a 1980 f100 with what I later 'id as a srod trans. I'm not going to put this in my rig simply because of the gear ratios. But I may end up using the bell housing and mechanical clutch linkage with a T5. In my research I have not quite found the answer Im looking for so. My question is does the t5 bolt up to the 80 model truck srod bellhousing without mods? I know the shifter will be close to seat but will it fit through the removable trans tunnel and not get into the part of the trans tunnel that's not removable? I wouldn't mind replacing the tunnel cover if I end up not liking the t5 but I wouldn't want to start hacking up my floor.
