Need MX pan mount dipstick - and advice

Post by LunarEclipse »

So, the tranny that is in the old '67 F250 has a crushed dipstick (see earlier post: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =4&t=69935) and I need to replace it with something. No aftermarket is available for this cruise o matic (Serial #PFB A 051496: the one where the dipstick mounts in the pan, not the case) and I can't locate one at local yards. Will pay a finders fee for a decent one! :)

Why don't you post some good pictures of the one you have. Odds are it would not be difficult to make a new one.

If the old one isn't cracked you can expand the crushed area by pulling or pushing increasing sized ball bearings through it.
