Dentside rear question does it fit?

Post by hotrodfeguy »

So I found a good deal on a limited slip 4.10 rear axle DANA 60 from a 79 dentside. My questions are one can I pull the center out with axles and use it in my truck? The housing got wider in the later dentside right? can I cut off a bit of axle shft and still make em work in my housing? Thanks for the help folks.

If you narrow the axle shafts-you then have to re-spline them, (machine work)=expensive. Check the spline count on both and possibly throw the gears from the dent D60 into your truck and use your existing axle shafts, (if the spline count is the same).
