You can get the arm rests from National parts Depot.

You can also get them from LMC, but I've heard the ones they sell fit like cr*p!

I purchased a drivers arm rest from Dennis Carpenter. It's alright, but it is no where near the quality of the original (my passenger side is fine).

I will be trying to get a used one someday from ebay. Not hurry though since the one I bought works fine.

Was there door panels w/ built in armrests for '72 Fords on down?....Actually,I'd like to see somewhat of a breakdown of the different door panels used in different years and the different packages....Every year seemed to have the plain metal ones, but the Explorer,Sport Custom and Ranger all seemed to have different door panels, even in the same year....
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

No, there was never a 'built-in' armrest. '67 trucks could be ordered with or without armrests, but '68-'72 trucks all had the same one and it was standard equipment. All trucks could either have the steel panels (base models) or either plastic covers over the steel panels or deluxe stand-alone upholstered panels. You can check out the factory brochures on the Factory Literature and Advertising page for pics of the various panels available with each trim level.

I've seen them in the catalogs, so you aren't going loopy form the paint fumes.
I haven't seen them installed, but have kicked the idea around.
If you go that route, definetly post some pics.
