Bed alignment?

what is the gap between the cab and bed suppossed to be? I measured mine from the door frame/jamb justbehind the door when closed i got 3 1/8 on both sides is that the coorect measurement? my bolts had come loose and i had to straiten it and rebolt it. got t dead on all the way around.But the cab to bed gap looks too narrow.

I went out to measure mine to see what it was and I discovered something:
The bed on my truck is crooked. The gap is 1/2 an inch more on the right than it is on the left.

I meashured mine and came up with 4 in. from door jam to the front of the bed.

I checked the cab to bed distance, meashured from directly behind the cab to the top of the bed and mines at 1 3/8 in.

I measured mine at about 4ft from the cab and the cab at about 6ft from the frame, ......... boy do I have to find my pics and get them posted
