If you take out the glove box liner is there still not enough room to pull it out of the glove box hole?

Ed,I think DC is right,...your best bet would be taking the glove box liner out....Your's is pretty new,so you should be able to remove it w/o tearing it up...Also,you'd have to loosen all the heater control cables if you went from underneath....You may have to also remove the ash tray assembly...BTW,I noticed I still had the original speaker bracket sitting here on a shelf....Lemme know if you'll be needing it and I'll send it to you...
This is the point...I'm....talking about everybody! I'm talking about form! I'm talking about content! I'm talking about interrelationships! I'm talking about God, the devil, hell, heaven!!!! Do you understand???? Finally!!!!

I would imagine even after taking out the liner it will be tight. I recently installed the factory AM radio back into my truck and there were some scuffed knuckles. I don't have A/C and your glove box liner is smaller for a reason, the A/C protrudes up into that space.

Personally I would attempt to do it without messing with the heater control box because it's kind of a PITA to remove and replace, IMO.

Good Luck.

You could pull the instrument cluster & ashtray and try from that side.
