Should I rebuild my NP-435 Transmission?

Post by bjde0b »

Never had a problem with it. I did buy seals and gaskets and I am not planning on a rebuild, but it is out of the truck and cleaned up. Is there any reason to rebuild of should I just replace gaskets and seals and slap it in?

Thank you for the input.

check your shaft play and see if the bearing seem worn. if they are tight i wouldn't worry about it. if they are real loose you would want to do something to it.

axial or radial? Would you recommend cleaning out the casing even if I don't do a rebuild?
