Door panels for less than 25 bucks

Post by shrektruck »

I wanted to put speakers in but not cut up my old door panels so I made some out of masonite (pegboard without the holes).
I traced a pattern from the original panels, cut the holes with a jigssaw, spraytacked quilt batting and a piece of fabric that used to be drapes and matched the interior colors nicely to the panel. Installed the speaker and covered the back with 7 mil plastic to keep out the elemants. Screwed it to the door and ran the wires through the jamb.
Hows it look?

Wow Nice panel. What is the model agency charging you? They sure are hiring them young these days . J/K But do keep a bat handy in the future. Nice to see the youngsters getting involved my sister (11 years old) asks me all the time can i help. And every once in a while i'll let her help.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

That does look pretty good. Them young'uns do get big quick though. Enjoy them...my daughter is 15 now...I can't believe it sometimes. I certainly don't look any older than that 20 year old kid that I was when she was born...well, maybe my hair line is receding a "little" bit.

Oh well. Babes one day and the next thing you know their talking about college options, cars, trucks and stuff.
