i might have found the issue with mr blue ,,no start guy
well i put in new points, i was taking off the tester coil. i didnt think it was the coil. there is a wire that is on this condenser wrapped with electric tape. it set on top of the coil.... would this conderser prevent it from runnning... the wore petty much fell off. this is the one near coil not the one under the dist. cap. thanks,.

I am pretty sure that condenser is for noise supression thru radio. I don't think that would keep it from running unless it is grounding out the ign system. I would just take it off and make sure the rest of your supply wires are in good shape.

Yup, that would be the noise supressor for the radio... I've never had any problems with one before.
I don't think it would cause any problems with the truck running or not, but it could.
I would disconnect it and see if it makes any difference.

man yeah i found that out. hey im learning real fast with this trust, its good for me though... i realized the points changed made it fire up , now i gotta get the float adjusted right, which is a pain ,, im dealing with squirts out of the carb, the needle valve that came with the kit fell somewhere. the wrong one thats slotted vavle is the reason its squirting throug the top upwards instead of sideways into the float bowl.,,,, thought it was the coil. rebuilt the carb for nothing... but man does it sound good from what i heard. ,
