holley 750
who here has used or uses this carb, and how do you like it?

There are countless variations of holley 750's.
I have owned, driven and worked on dozens of 3310's and some were easily tuned and ran hard, most were not cooperative trying to squeak the most from the motor. I've had a couple 750 mechanical DP's on mild big blocks and worked well and I have one proform 750HP that runs like a striped a$$ ape as well as many friends that run them and love them. Seen my engine builder on his dynojet get 30 horse from a 470HP motor going from a standard DP750 to a 750HP on a buddies 383.

i have never had a 750, but i have ran the 600 model 1850 for the past 20 yrs on ford's, chev's, and ihc's with no problems whatsoever--manual choke and vacuum secondaries--i won't run anything else--plenty of carb for most applications
ps--the chev and ihc were bb, 396 and 392, respectively , neither in pure stock form, the 396 was running 454 dbl hump heads--it was bad to the bone

Didn't mean to imply the 3310 was a bad carb, just tried to lay it out that it is not something you'd run on a race engine. As far as a 750 on an FE goes I don't think 750 throttle plates will clear a stock car/truck iron intake without an aftermarket spacer.
I've run Holleys all my life and prefer them to any other for power and reliability for a driver. If you let it sit it will go to crap though. Edelbrocks shine in the let it sit and rot department, where they belong in my opinion.

I've had a 750 vac. secondary carb on my 390 for over 15 years, no problems just rebuild it when it when it starts acting weird. I like it because it has the automatic kickdown lever already on it,plus it comes with a hand choke.You do need an adaptor if you use stock iron manifold.If you don't the linkage hits the manifold.
