Foot Feed linkage

Post by Merlin68F100 »

While checking my auto trans fluid I noticed for the first time the foot feed linkage on my stock 68 360 2barrel w/manual choke. What a Rube Goldberg POS this is. When it does fall apart, and I cannot understad what is holding it together now, what sort of upgrade modifications has been done? I don't need NASCAR certified high voltage fly by wire, but something with positive foot feed back would be nice.

just a straight rod from the pedal to the carb. they can be had at the parts stores. its got a hook for the pedal on on end and a snap linkage piece ont he other end for th carb. or whihc ever end you need they have them. i have personally never had a problem with the trapeze setups. its all held together with pins.

Ford did away with the trapeze in the dentside era, just using a straight rod from the gas pedal to the carb. They're easy enough to find in the U-Pull-Its.
