C6 Tranny
Just had my transmission rebuilt in my 69 f-100. I have a few problems though...First i forgot which way the transmission cooler lines went on..A guy at work was trying to tell me it doesnt matter but i cant see that being true. My second problem has something to do in the column. I cant get it to shift anyone know any commen problems that i might check. When i try to put it in to gear it does nothing, it just moves like its not hooked up in the column somewhere but im not too sure yet..Feel kinda bad for signing up today and just jumping right in with questions. Thanks...Nick

Re: C6 Tranny
Is the rod between the column and the transmission hooked up?

Everything looked as though its right, Tomorow after work im gonna get back out there and mess with it and hopefully get it fixed.
Re: C6 Tranny
i cant really describe it too well, its been a long time, but the shifter collar at the top of the column (just below the steering wheel) mine got a big crack in it, sounds like what happened to you maybe.

So you're saying that when you move the shift lever in the cab, the shifting arm at the bottom of the column (in the engine compartment) isn't moving?

Re: C6 Tranny
Well i think i have the problem figured out..It kinda solved its self. The old transmission was so messed up that it wouldn't switch gears. Now that i have had it rebuilt it seems to be switching gears just find so i guess the problem wasn't in the column like i thought it was thank god. Thanks for the picture i got my lines on right now.
