I finished up the front end rebuild on my 67 the other day. New radius and pivot bushings, new king pins and king pin bushings and a total overhaul of the drum brakes, hoses and all. I dropped the entire suspension to do it. Not nearly as tough a job as I had anticipated. The worst of it was cleaning 41 years of gunk out of the back of the spindles and what not. For those that might be hesitant on doing this themselves, I found that following the instructions layed out in the disc brake conversion section on the main page made it fairly straight forward. I took a half coil off the springs with little to no change. the only thing left will be to take a little more off and get the front a hair lower. The truck drives like a dream now.
Now for the pics

Re: New front end!
Awesome! I'm going to have to do this on my 68. My radius arm bushings are like your old ones. And since it'll be all apart, I'll just take it to the machine shop and have the king pins replaced anyway.
One question: Why didn't you do a disc brake conversion while you were there?

Re: New front end!
I just realized I posted this in the wrong area,,,,,Sorry bout that.
I took the arms in to the local shop to have the pins done. I didn't think it would be worth the headache to do it myself. As for the discs, I didn't have the parts or a donor lined up to do the conversion and since it is my daily driver, I just wanted it safe again.

Re: New front end!
I bet getting the springs off was a PITA. Was like that on my 72, had to get out the torch and use some heat.
Looks good!
