Uhhh... Why would you want to remove the filter rather than replace it? The factory filter is FAR better than any inline filter.

Filter is easy... it is a screw cap...

Filter - $5
Pump with new filter - $30.

Up to you.

I use one of them new-fangled Strap wrenches to get the filter cap off.
