lost my park
ok this started on friday, usually when i start my truck i have to pull up on the shifter to start but now my automatic 72 with a 390 not sure of the tranny think it is the c6. i have to run through the tree to find a spot the truck will start in and just now as i got to work park is now reverse, how do i adjust the linkage to get everything in the right place or is it something totally different.....will check back after 4pm to answer any questions, plan on trying to fix it during lunch break at 6. thanks fopr any help

First, yes, you have a C6.
Second your Neutral Start Switch is going out, I'd bet your reverse lights don't work either (they both use the same switch).
I'm not sure if Ford NSS's are rebuildable, I'd suggest searching here for "Neutral Start Switch," "NSS," and "back up switch."
