I just disassembled the drive shaft of my 1967 SWB. Unfortunately I didn't find neither the seal nor the washer in the universal joint knuckle. For a better explanation I marked these parts on the attached schematic drawing.
I guess that these parts are important to hold the lubricant in the knuckle. Unfortunately I can not find these parts in any vendor catalog. Can anybody help?
Thanks
Roman

Probably Dealership item, or junkyard. Maybe if you have a driveline shop you can talk to might be able to come up with the items.

A good bearing and seal shop could possibaly match one up for you as well.

if the 67 is the same as a 71, then the seal is cork and it's cut internally just like the female splines on the yoke assembly. the washer is small in width to keep the cork from tearing when you screw down the cap. it just "squishes the cork to expand so it keeps the grease in. I just had mine apart. it's sitting on the bench at home, so if you need a picture to better understand, I can put one up tonight.

re: Missing drive shaft parts
Jason,
Thanks a lot for your offer. I would be very glad if you could take a picture about these parts. It's much easier to hunt for parts if there is a picture for explanation.
Thanks

Any driveline shop should be able to fix you right up.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

re: Missing drive shaft parts
To make this post complete. I finally found these parts...even in Switzerland at a Jeep parts supplier.
The three parts are a kit from SPICER. The number is D3E.
