speedometer cable question

i am working on my 70 ranger, i did a front clip from a 89 crown vic. i also used the 302 and aod trans. my question is will i be able to hook up a cable from like a c6 trans or something. i have no cable now, and i have a guage cluster from a f600. i now most everything on the aod as far as bolts is metric but i don't know if there is a cable that would work with it and the old stock guages? does any one have any idea, or some place i can look? i hate to order cables that i can not use. thanks

the ratios, but the speedometer operated normally. There may be some
variation (seven and eight teeth gears?) with the AOD drive gear (the gear
inside the tailshaft housing), so you may have to change driven gears for
proper calibration
