1967 F100 SWB 240-6 Cyl. with a manual floor shift?

Post by l1k2gadd »

I may be going to look at a 1967 F100 SWB 2WD tomorrow or monday (after work). I requested some pictures and received this one of the interior (somewhat). I can see the "pull-type" heater control knobs and the stub-type posts for the door release handles too. In the picture I can also see the manual tranny pedals and what looks like it could have had the shift collar replaced.

What I do see is a floor shifter. I know, from this site, that there are several differences in the 1967 that are unique to the '67. Did Ford put a floor shift, like the one in the picture, in the 1967 Bumps?

I didn't want to ask too many questions about the truck by e-mail to the owner.

looks like a mr. gasket truck shifter. i would say it's a hurst indy, but the stalk is flat on one of those and the "generic" mr. gasket types has the round stalk like that one. that's just my best guess.
