Floor shifter questions. HELP!!

I am installing a floor shifter in my 69 w/ C-6. Got it all hooked up put the engine won't turn over. I need to hook up the reverse switch and the nuetral safety switch. How do I do that? I mean where are the wire that I need to hook to the switches? THanks

what was your truck before the trans swap. was it manual? i think thats what you said a few days ago.

No it was an automatic. I am removing my column to replace it with an column out of a manual truck but before I did I am putting my shifter on the floor. I got a B & M megashifter I have it all hooked to the transmission it shifts fine but the engine won't turn over. I thought I found the correct switches but they still don't seem to work

Well, until you get the proper switch for your B&M, you could always just remove the NSS from your automatic column and plug it back into the wiring harness and wire it closed. Of course, your truck will start in all gears, so be careful.

Otherwise, you have to find an bypass plug that plugs into the wiring harness where the NSS would normally plug into. It looks like this:



You could always snip the end of your automatic column's NSS and fabricate this bypass.
