I have a floor mounted three speed manual transmission. Last night when pulling into the driveway I could not get it to come out of gear. It will drive all day in second, but I can't get it to come out of second. The clutch works when you step on it.
Any suggestions?

Try dropping the clutch in say 1st gear and pulling the shifter out. you may want to check the linkage to.

I think that jammed linkage is probably the most likely cause; but,
if the pilot bearing is badly worn it will sometimes cause the clutch to drag a little. I know you said the clutch works, but it could be that the clutch is dragging just a little and keeping the trans loaded too much to come out of second (although not so much that it kills the engine).
