Rear leaf springs

My F-250 Camper Special, has the original rear springs (as far as I know). I use it to tow a travel trailer with a 900lb tounge weight, it sags down pretty good. I have the load leveling hitch and all, but was thinking of "Beefing up" the rear springs by putting on a set from a one ton. My question is what years will fit with out making welding mods? Has anyone done this before? and are there better, easier options that I wont have to re-mortgage the house for? Also on that same line how do I figgure the towing capicity?

I was thinking of adding a helper spring . I was told you could get a universal one at your local parts store.

I put 1 ton springs under my F-250 4x4, and used a Dana-70 dually rear axle also.
I think, (for the 4x4's anyways) that springs from a F-350 from '67-72 should work. My donor truck was a '71 2wd F-350.
I had to get new u-bolts to accommodate the 4" lift blocks on the Hiboy suspension, but other than that, they bolted in.

I think the F-100's and 250's use a different spring setup than the 250 4x4's and F-350 2wd's.
