tranny fluid type

my chiltons boks list tranny fluid types for all except MX or FMX . So type f or DextronII??
Which one for the mx/fmx

Yep, me too. Got your PM but Duckryder beat me to it. Dipstick on my FMX says Type F only. I think the bottle even says something about for use in "older Ford automatics" or some such.

Yep, unless it has been rebuilt anything but Type F will kill it.

Type F however will only make a Dextron II transmission shift hard.

Want to guess what "B&M Trick Shift" is?

Type-F is also the only kind I'll substitute for power steering fluid too
