Shift Linkage

Post by jbrown414 »

I now own a 70's steering column, that's an automatic with power steering. My truck currently has a 3 on the tree. So, I am needing the shift linkage for my new column. I know that through 67-79, the linkages were made differently, but, will anyone one work or do I need to get the linkage specifically for 1970?

I'm not understanding what you're asking. Are you thinking you can convert the '70 automatic column to a 3-spd setup (can't be done) or are you converting to an automatic transmission and just need the linkage from the column to the transmission?
