well, the time has come to sell my '70 Custom. I really don't want to do it but sometimes things need to be done. ok, ok, my wife says I have too many projects and either the truck goes or I go, and frankly, I like living here. but on a serious note, I have a dilemma. about a year ago I pulled the 4speed that was in the truck and swaped in a late model TREMEC T5 in its place. absolutely the best thing I could have done. now this is the thing, I dont' want to let the truck go with this tranny, I just won't get my money's worth. the tranny alone was 1600. so my questions are these, what can I put in its place? I no longer have the 4speed I pulled out. how can I ID a 4speed that will work? will any C4 work? what about an AOD? I'm a late model Mustang guy so I know nothing about this older stuff. any help will be appreciated.
