for your perseverance under harsh conditions. Here's a couple of cab dolly designs if you feel the need. Mine near the top on page 1 http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 22&t=59995 and Tyler's on bottom of page 6 http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... a&start=75 (good work, Tyler!)

Re: 69 f-600 14' dump to f-100 short bed
Thanks Sargentrs I actually made one similar to yours on weds New Year's day. Was just going to throw some 2bys together and put it on my car dolleys but once I got going made it with its own casters I picked up at fall or spring Carlisle. I was working too fast to take pics, had to get the cab moved so I could finally put my daughters snow tires on and not have to do it outside.
Too COLD to work today is 4* outside with windchill is -18* we got about 6-8" of snow so not as bad as it could have been
If I get crazy I might copy this design
makes it easy to roll cab onto its back sorry for the non ford for diehards but pretty cool idea

Project Howlin'
So at this point figure it needs a name other than that green truck. So because of the coyote motor and the 7k redline I think Project Howlin' fits.

Howlin sounds like a good name for it. Looks like a nice build, keep up the good work.

So was up to 26* had some unexpected time off so worked on truck while wood stove warmed up. I got the flange off the steering column. Wasn't bad after I used the 4.5 grinder with a cut off wheel. I notched both sides almost to the splines.
then used a steering wheel puller to snap it in half so didnt damage splines. this is before pic when it was not notched and didn't take one of the cuts. I still had to hit the remaing piece pretty good to get it to come off.
but it does have splines now to get my 36 spline to double d adapter to fit on.

29 rosette welds later cab mount is on. Now to do it all over again on passenger side.

Looks really good.
Maybe a dumb question, but did you fit the cab on the new frame yet? Just wondering how the engine 2" back was going to interface with the firewall?

Not yet but I did have the original truck and frame with the 360 in it side by side before I pulled the cab and took measurements.Ranchero50 wrote:Looks really good.

And Coupe5oh put a 4.6 in his and had tons of room behind his mod motor. If I go forward more makes the electric fan and cold air intake want to be too close along with the oilpan and crossmember.
I'll know for sure soon as I get the other floor pan and cab mount on. I'm more concerned about trans clearance it's why I bought the high hump c-6 tranny cover.
