Re: Brake pressure differential valve
Not sure if there are "New" ones available, but any drum brake 67-72 valve from a junk yard should work. It's a distribution valve, and there are very few things that can fail on them.

There's not any new ones available with the correct bracket for our trucks. Did you lose yours or is the piston stuck inside?

Re: Brake pressure differential valve
Hello-- I undertook the job of unsticking diff. valve piston by carefully heating it with a torch... complete write-up is probably 20-some-odd pages back, July 2013... used a jewelers' needlenose pliers to pull with, while 0-rings were still melty-hot.
I used the musclecarresearch rebuild kit mentioned upthread, also followed the cleaning instructions on their site.
Be cautious if you use the flame method! And best of luck!
Found my old thread: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =5&t=72326
"Clyde" is 70 F100, 360, AT, PS, drum/drum.
(Edit: go to page 4 for diff. valve stuff)

The piston is definitely stuck. I order the rebuild parts and will soak the block until they arrive.

Re: Brake pressure differential valve
The best way to get it out is plug the middle port where the switch goes and plug one of the back ports, then on the opposite side use a grease gun and it will push the piston right out. Trust me it works. Soaking it will do no good. You'll have to do some trial and error with fittings to make it work, but it will work.KulpFarm wrote:The piston is definitely stuck.
