Grease clumps, gear oil does not.

True but after years of summer heat and road grime they both kind of smooth out. Plus we are not sure of the experience “Always Learning” has at looking at oil and grease spray.

how often does the disel mechancic recommend to replace a disel engine sprak plug? what kind of mileage do they get? every 6 months or 3000 miles like a gas engine should?

You laugh but when I went through my late father’s tool box, he had some spark plugs for a Detroit diesel. They were for the emergency generators in hospitals. They are dual fuel motors set up to run on natural gas if the diesel runs out.

as far as the oil or grease on the bottom of the bed it could be either or it could be both. he wont know until he looks at the rearend seal to see if it is leaking now. when its sitting it may drip oil on the ground also if it is the pinoin seal.
