The much thinner metering plate must have the bowl gasket then a tin plate with holes punched in it and then a smaller gasket that fits the pattern of the tin plate and metering plate.

Upper right hand corner is a metering plate layout. Part number 151,152, 153 and 149 are required. The tin plate is not part of a kit. Block 153, thin gasket 152, Tin Plate 151 and Bowl gasket 149.

FWIW, any parts not available over the counter, just contact Holley engineering and they will make you one. They made me a whole new basplate for a 390, cost about $65.
Great ideas have always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.
