so is the the shift kit in the valve body? like i said this thing was built with all the best. id really hate to have to pull the goodies out and put something not as good back in. i need to find receipts so i can list the parts that were used to build it. i really havent got loose change right now, thats what sucks.

i would not try the fluid additives due to sometimes they can do more harm then good the valve body is not hard to do it would only take maybe 30 mins or longer if you like to take your time on it a good set of ramps and solid ground will work good to get it up high enough to get under it youll have 16 to 18 pan bolts and a lot of fluid and then youll take the filter off and then the valve body bolts them self off good luck

is there a chance i can take it aprt and free it up and clean it real good? this problem is intermittent, that makes me think it may not be too late. i dont want to replace it, as it have been worked over and worked very well, other than this, and money is short. hate to sound like im pushing for the answer i want to hear but i want it to work right for the least money. if i was working i would probly be more interested in a transbrake and more racing oriented parts. that would pay off once i do the rear end work.

You can take the valve body apart, remove the valves, check for debris, sand the valves with some real fine paper, clean it out real good, lube the valves with TransJel, reassemble it and see how it works. Be careful and make sure you keep in mind the order of each valve/spring order as it pertains to each bore. Take digital pics for reassembly reference if you need to. Not rocket science.
