Fuel Injected 302 and AOD Swap Questions
I am swapping a Fuel injected 302 and AOD into my 70 F250. The donner car is a 1988 Mercury couger. The car is complete and runs and drives. I have mostly everything worked out, exept what to use for the Accelerator pedal, Accelerator cable, and the speedometer hook up. Any ideas on junk yard parts or any companies that offer aftermarket related items would be greatly helpful.[/b]

I used a spare pedal I had for my 73 Mach 1. A 1988 T-Bird throttle cable from a car with a 5.0 worked on the Mustang EFI I put in my truck.

re: Fuel Injected 302 and AOD Swap Questions
Carter Fuel pumps make a aftermarket inline High pressure pump, for swapping to EFI. I plan to mount it on the inside frame rail under the cab. High pressure pumps are better pushers that pullers. The closer I have it to the tank the better. I just hope it not too loud, mounted under my seat.

The Lokar cable will work with your stock pedal. You will have to do something with the end on the pedal. The Lokar cable will have a ball on the end for the pedal and an aluminum clevis for street rod type pedals. You will have to check to see if the ball on the inner cable is big enough not to pull through the pedal end. Go ahead and spring for the mount for the carb that the cable will attach to. It is the best way to do it once and not look like you pieced it together. Lokar also has a TV cable for the AOD that will work with that bracket and is adjustable.
