I might do something (wild)....
....like try to restore old truck. So jello everybody.
I don't have a truck, but I'd like to have one -- ideally, a simple 68, 240/300 +3spd, manual steering, no AC -- and to keep it forever and drive it, it will need a total restoration. I'm in no rush and still reading all I can find, planning what I need. So I'm just lurking, reading all I can read. I have just enough space to keep a good mostly original truck in safe dry rainfree condition, but have Zero additional space to do any real tear downs until I can find a good workplace or a local shop that would help me get down to the frame. I have seen that two members are doing outside frameups under tents. mmm, I dunno, could it work?
Thanks. This seems like a very fun webboard and website with great things to learn (great fast loading pages too!!), so I'm just sticking my toe out of the shadows for a moment.

Welcome Phil, good luck with your search. I think the F100 flareside with the I6/3spd combo is going to be the hottest setup in the bumpsides. That is a good choice.

Thanks All!
I live near the coast, a few miles from the beach, and sometimes you can see and taste/smell the salt in the air (this is rare though). More often times, you can see gradual salt buildup over time on glass windows and stuff. That is scaring me, even with no intention of taking any old truck near the beach.

Thanks!!!! If I went that route, I won't be alone.I'm doing a backyard buildup too. It's kinda hard to do. You're at the mercy of the weather most of the time and it sucks trying to sand filler in 95+ degree heat.
