15" x 5.5" wide wheels with G78-15 8 ply tires.

The lug pattern is 5 x 5.5"

im trying to figure if i have correct tires for stock size, if my speedo reads correct or not. i have 235/75/15's on.

Your tires are a little over 1" taller than OE. I'd guess about 3mph difference between the two at 70mph, your speedo would be reading low.

G78-15, 27.71" tall
P235/75R15, 28.88" tall

so 225's would make it more correct?

Well, 225's would make it more correct but 215's would put it spot on and that's the cross-reference for a G78-15.

P225/75R15, 28.29" tall
P215/75R15, 27.70" tall

well, it seems to be more around 10 mph off lol. im guessing i need a new speedo.
