Hi Guys'
I recently bought my Grandfather's old 69 Ranger from my brother who was about to sell it. Since my Grandfather passed away, I wanted to keep this truck in the family. I have had about a dozen Ford trucks, but nothing this old.
About the truck:
1969 Ford Ranger
360 V8
3 Speed Column Shift
Here's what I need help with. I want to change the manual column shift trans to a column shift auto. Is this possible and what do I need?
Here is a few more things I would like to do if anyone can help.
Install power steering
Install power and disk brakes
Please recommend a good source for buying replacement parts for this model truck.
Thanks Guy's

At the very least for the tranny swap, you'll need the tranny, all the linkage, a new front driveline (or possibly just the yoke if you have a 1 piece driveline) a steering column, new speedometer cable with the correct end gear, and a carb with the correct kickdown linkage, or an aftermarket kickdown cable assembly. Vacuum lines for the tranny if necessary, a cooler and lines to mount in front of the radiator (or into the radiator as some are done). And a flexplate to replace the flywheel/clutch assembly on the back of the engine.
The links above are a good start.

re: 1969 Ranger - Change MT to AT
i just changed a 69 to power steering myself. regardless of your decision re: the transmission, you have to change the steering column - i got mine at a junk yard. with the steering column, make sure you get the plate that mounts to the firewall on the inside of the engine compartment - it's different on a manual vs power steering (learned from experience). also, my frame rails were full of rocks (no kidding). i had to take the new power steering box (also purchased from the junk yard) bolts, reverse their direction (went from inside the engine compartment out) and used an impact wrench to break up all of the rocks in the way (surely my circumstance was a-typical).
i had my engine out at the time - probably not necessary, but i'd hate to have done this project with the engine in!
