I like my new engine but now I can't keep the truck hooked up. Currently running on LT235/85R16 Range E on 8-inch rims. I can go up to 265 on my rims or go to wider rims. I am thinking about going wider and softer on new rims on the rear for dailey driving and keeping the Range E on current rims for the rare hauling job. I would leave the narrow tires on the front, I have manual steering.
So what would be a good tire for ride-ability and traction? Also rim choices for 8 lug. This is for dailey driving and maybe a few trips to the track just to see what the old truck can do.
OR should I put the money into a locker?
