What type of grease do I want to use on the suspension parts? I have that regular gold or brown color grease loaded in my grease gun, sort of looks like peanut butter. I was pumping it in a tie rod fitting when I saw what looked like moly coming out of it. I know it is recomended not to mix different types.
What type of grease should be in there? What would be the best way of cleaning it out, short of buying new tierod parts? Maybe just pumping a lot of grease through it to try and push the wrong stuff out?
Think I made a mistake.

I use a multi purpose grease, but I also grease them twice a year.

re: Think I made a mistake.
well the old saying some is better than none, all though a grease with graphite is better the biggest problem is dry joints and rust I wouldn't worry to much about the mixed grease. as for flushing out the joint if you have the floating stile boots on your joint by all means if it makes you feel better flush the joints out but if you got the boots with snap ring retainers just leave it if you try you will blow the boots and thats just no good.
WHAT ?
