those are different models of the same basic chassis.
Like my truck is a 3/4 ton 4x4 HiBoy.
the VIN starts with F2 (for 3/4 ton) then 60 (for 4x4)
or something along those lines,anyways.



edit: I found the page I was looking for here. this being from 1967 for example.

The Model code indicates the model type and the gross vehicle weight in lbs.

It may be from newer trucks. For instance in the "Ford Pickup Red Book" it lists a 1977 F-350, F-351, and so on to F-358 (9,300lb). The highest number in the book (it stops at 1977) is from the 1977 model and is X-359, designating an extra cab 9,250lb.
