Ford axle width

Post by Ozsuba »

Hi all, I have a Ford diff assembly which measures 52" flange to flange.
The axles that are in the diff assy have the following casting numbers on the inboard face of the axle flange they are as follows;

CASTING NUMBERS ON AXLE ( RH ): CC20W4235D

CASTING NUMBERS ON AXLE ( LH ): CC20W4238D

Diff HOUSING WIDTH ( FLANGE TO FLANGE ): 52"

Any help on the identification, model year etc, of the assembly would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

I'm going to guess the factory rear end tag that is usually attached to one of the studs, where the hogshead bolts on is missing? I'm sure the guys here can figure it out with what you provided, but that id tag would definitely help.

Okay guys, what does he have??? Anyone?

Patrick,
Yes you are correct :D , and the flange width i gave in the origional post is meaured from flange to flange of the diff housing not from the axle flanges.
