Truck made it safely to the new house. Now it is just getting everything else moved there.

Its been a minute. The truck made it to MN with no issues, other than the cost being way to high (my fault for not doing more research up front). Got all the tools in the garage and now its time to try and get stuff put away!

Will be moving towards doing some garage work in the new year. Need to get stuff sorted out and see what parts need to find new homes. With the weather actually being cold, there will be a lot of inside work to do. I want to try and start getting my wiring laid out. See what parts I still will need like connectors.

I found a salvage yard near the new house in Farmington, MN that only does Fords. He has a few 1967 to 1972 trucks and 1973 to 1979 trucks. But I found out he is closing up shop. I couldn't find a good hood, but he does have a few windshields between 25 and 50 each. Great guy that tried to save as many old Fords as he could.

For those that are still following, it's been too cold to do any real work. On Sunday the wife and I went to HF and picked up a new Air Compressor since they sent me a 25% off coupon. So got the compressor and a free two year warranty! Also got a job here in MN with the same company I was working for in MD so that worked out great! This weekend is going to be over 40 here so we will get the compressor set up and maybe do so cleaning. That all I have for now, but as soon as warmer weather hits it's back to work on this thing!

Harbor freight coupons are the best! They opened a store local to me, and I've spent way too much money in there already lol.
The cold weather this year has really been hard for making progress. It's tough to work when it's been below freezing in the garage, but I guess we just gotta do what we can.

I agree. I first started buying from HF when it was catalog based, went to my first store when I moved from MA to MD and that was amazing. Its got great stuff and crap stuff, you just have to look at what you are buying. I have a Gantry Crane, Engine Stand, Engine Crane, two Mig Welders, Air Compressor and a boat load of hand tools.

As for the cold, it is tough in the colder climates for sure. The Garage I had in MD was bigger than the one I have here in MN, but this one is attached to the house. I may build a stand alone garage in the back but just not sure yet. I have the truck sitting outside under a cover right now as its so nice to just go out and get in a clean vehicle not having to scrape ice or clean off snow.

Still working through boxes and finding all the crap i lugged here from MD. I have purchased the materials to do the wiring in the garage. That will be getting done soon. I need to finish unpacking and putting away tools and parts. I have been able to find some things and throw away some other things!

So I finally did another thing for the truck this weekend. I was able to get a windshield from a local guy. It is an original Ford Script tinted one. Far from perfect needing some polishing and it has a bit of delamination but for $35 it was a steal. The seal will cover a lot of the discoloring and I am happy I will have a crack free windshield again once its installed.

Continuing with the garage wiring, got two new circuits pulled in and the sub-panel mounted. Need to run two more circuits and pull the main power line in.

Update the build thread on that truck Adam. Going to be a nice ride with a 351 and 5 speed.
