Found a 72 short bed for sale without the bed

I'm always keeping my eye out for short beds for sale (just like everyone else out there). I recently found one not too far away without a bed but I figured it would be very difficult locating a bed for it. Am I wrong about that? If you came across a truck without a bed what would your plan be? Who would you reach out to if you couldn't find anything for sale in the common classifieds/trader listing sites? I know LMC has bed panels and pieces, I suppose one could try and fabricate one from scratch using those, but I imagine it would probably be really expensive to pay a shop to do that.

Depending on your fab skills, you can shorten a long bed into a short bed. Here are a couple youtubes by 330_Garage that shows how to do it. I have seen about 20 long beds in junkyards over the years, and one flareside, but I have never came across a short bed.
