Hey yall. I have a 1970 F100 2wd. What's the best way to identify the rear differential? I do have the tag but I have not been able to find any helpful information out there.
Please help. Thanks.

Re: Rear Differential identification
Here are some pics. The stamps on the carrier housing are C5AW, 4668a, OD14. I have been able to desifer the tag: WDM-U, OEA, 3.70, 8.7, 302a.
But I still don't know what kind of Dana Dif I have.
Thanks.

Re: Rear Differential identification
That is a Ford 9".
From the link i provided:
WDM-U Ford Pickup '63-'76 F-100 3.70 9 in NL 28 -
So its a Ford 9" 3.70:1 ratio. open, 28 spline
